Details are on the website Quietly walking in the footsteps of the early Australian Impressionists brings memories flooding back of paintings created by Walter Withers, Neil Douglas and many others who were the major inspiration of making paintings look distinctly Australian. Progress from those days is reflected in the current exhibition. Categories including modern contemporary and emerging artist bring today’s interpretations to a current design requirement. Proudly hosted by the Rotary Club of Eltham, the show represents a strong volunteer movement which supports the community’s artists and business’s. Also strongly supported by the State Government, local council and major sponsors we expect the show to become an ingrained annual event in the Shire calendar.
