As you will be aware, in August this year, our Club successfully completed its third Rotary Eltham Art Show. The success of the three past shows has been due in no small way to your support. Your efforts have contributed to the Club raising $100,000 over the 3 years to support numerous community causes. Thank you!
The Rotary Club has recently reviewed all aspects of the 3 years’ events. The review has identified the commitment required by our Art Show Committee, associated logistical issues and other significant project works of the Club as impacting on the Club’s ability to facilitate future shows.
As a result, we have reluctantly decided that we will not be conducting an Art Show in 2025.
However, at this stage it is intended that our next Art Show will be held in 2026. We will keep you informed as plans evolve for the next show.
We sincerely appreciate your invaluable support in assisting the Eltham Rotary Club to bring community art exhibitions back to Nillumbik and thereby enabling us to achieve our goals which include:
- To provide an opportunity for artists to present their works and build their micro businesses
- To provide an opportunity for the community to appreciate those works
- To increase visitation to Nillumbik and local businesses
- To raise funds to support Eltham Rotary Club projects
- To ensure continuation of recognition of the heritage of Nillumbik Art and its influence over time on the development of the Australian Art industry, and
- To promote to the public the work which the Rotary Club of Eltham does in its community service endeavours to help people!
