  • Biography

    Designer / Glass Artist / Printmaker / Sculptor / Organic Gardener
    A master of all expressions of the graphic arts, co-founder of the Australian Graphic Design Association, adviser to governments, tertiary institutions and international corporations on the reach and applications of multi-media developments, Wayne has designed across all platforms, from the conventional – books and postage stamps, to the most interactive and sophisticated websites. His creative imagination also drives a his new passion, an art practice in printmaking, glass art and sculpture.

    Winning dozens of design awards during his working life in developing quality print, communication, new media and other design projects, his work has been published in many international publications. Wayne’s experience using computers which began in 1983 for new media projects and design is extensive. Wayne was a pioneer in the introduction of computers to the Australian design industry.

    He was also co-author of 6 training books for Peachpit Press in California and several training DVD’s for Software-Cinema.com for the software programs Adobe InDesign and Photoshop Elements.

    Art History:
    Attended Baldessin Press, St Andrews for workshops and studio time in printmaking for several years which included Monotypes and Photogravure.

    In 2018 attended a beginners class in Kiln Formed Glass at Blue Dog Glass in Mordialloc. As an artist I was excited by the transparency and opaqueness of glass as a medium to transcend and transform colors into visual works of art.


    2013: Winner of the Open Category at The Warranwood Art Show for the Monotype ‘Mystical Dancers’
    2013: This Monotype was also awarded a ‘High Commendation’ at the Warrandyte Rotary Art Show.

    Wayne is still a practicing designer, and for balance in life is also an Glass Artist, Printmaker, Sculptor and Organic Gardener. He has lived in Warrandyte for 42 years in a mud brick house that he designed and built in 1979, where he has implemented and maintained sustainable practices. He passionately believes that life should be in balance and harmony with nature, and to continue to preserve our natural environment and the planet.
