Natasha Hall is a Melbourne-based fine art photographer fascinated by the most fleeting of moments and the camera as a tool for documenting time. Movement, cropped detail and the organic feature repeatedly in her photography. Her imagery tells the story of the delicate balance between the beautiful and haunting - the mundane and curious. As a mother with two young children, the narrative between the four walls of her home is frequent in her photography of 2017 - 2022.
In 2019/2020, Natasha collaborated with mothers across Melbourne to curate a photographic collection titled A Moment In Time. This 12-month photographic project was a celebration of the natural energy of children within the home through documentary photography. Natasha hopes to bring together a community of like-minded women who celebrate the beauty of this raw, unedited reality.
In 2021/2022, Natasha continues her exploration of time-lapse abstraction. She uses a documentary process of repetition to create abstract photographic portraits reminiscent of past memories and capture her subjects' natural shape, energy, and personality.
She has submitted some of her most recent photographic self-portrait work to the 2022 Eltham Art Show.
