  • Artist’s Statement

    I have lived in the Nillumbik shire for most of my life . First growing up in Warrandyte North and now living here in Eltham North for the passed 30 odd years . I am represented in the Shire collection and have exhibited over the years in numerous group shows . I have been involved in the Nillumbik Artist Open Studios Program for many years and Open my studio to the public through out the year .

  • Biography

    Mary-lou Pittard studied Fine Art at the Phillip Institute of Technology, majoring in ceramics in the early 80’s and has worked full time as ceramic artist ever since. She is well known for her brightly coloured decorative stoneware work, that includes a huge range of both functional and exhibition pieces.
    She has worked as an Artist in Residence with local schools and the Nillumbik Shire Council producing large scale ceramic murals and smaller class room projects. She has exhibited widely through out Australia and overseas and was invited to exhibit in Paris in 2015. At present Mary-lou teachers at Slow Clay Centre in Collingwood and at Clay Talk Monsalvat here in Eltham.
