I have resided and practiced as a ceramic artist for the past 35 years
I have been a practising ceramicist for the past 25 years and have exhibited locally and nationally in selected and group exhibitions.
In 1999 I established Claydreamers, a teaching studio in Eltham, where I run classes for beginners to advanced students.
My art practice includes making a range of wheel thrown porcelain, domestic ware, together with a body of work called Sand series.
My Sand series design is inspired by our amazing Australian Coastlines, and the marks left on them by the elements and the creatures that call them home. These sands always fascinate me and constitute an ever evolving, living artwork.
The vessels are wheel thrown using porcelain, altered, etched, carved and refilled. The interior is often clear glazed and the exterior is carefully sanded and polished after firing. They are contemporary in form and design and are both decorative and functional
