I began my art career by taking art classes in Greensborough.
Elizabeth always had an interest in art since she was a child dabbling with painting with watercolour, Her first passion was fashion and makeup whereby she became a makeup artist and did make-up for weddings, and special occasions. Elizabeth volunteered as a makeup artist for school concerts, Liz also worked in advertising (John Clemengers and Monohan, Dayman, Adams) in the late 70's early 80's.
In 2008 Liz did some formal art training and painted prolifically in oils and acrylics. Art was an important and ever-present part of her life until a diagnosis with cancer, which turned her life upside down. Liz also has Multiple Sclerosis which manifests in a tremor, and vision problems among many other symptoms.
After a long hiatus and the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic, a number of synchronistic events occurred which brought her back to art. She began with alcohol inks then commenced art classes and began sketching, drawing and painting other mediums including pastel, charcoal and acrylic paint.
Elizabeth loves to explore colour, shapes, depth, and flow in her paintings and mainly paints abstract expressionism. Her style of painting is purely intuitive. She loves to express her emotions through her art and hopes that her paintings stir emotions in the viewer.
Elizabeth gets great joy from the pleasure her art brings to others as well as the fact that the owner of each piece can use it to connect with themselves and their own life experiences.
Elizabeth has collectors in Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland to date.
