The aim of a well curated art show is to educate those who wish to aspire to, aim for and reach the higher level of their art potential….   Chris White.

The change of seasons provides an imagination of wonderful feelings. As we move into autumn the colours bring a new palette every day. A slight drop in temperature poses a thought of a cosy fire and warm socks.  We are mindful that not all have the opportunities of such comfort and we look for ways to be of assistance where we can.

The Rotary Club of Eltham’s 50th Birthday celebrations last week brought back many memories of the contributions made to the community over that period of time. An emergence of the fully curated, selective Art Show encourages more opportunities. The heritage of Nillumbik Art has a very significant look and feel. Being able to show it off is a privilege and we are pleased to have the caring support from our loyal partners to do just that.

  • Eminent Judge and Artist, Paul McDonald Smith has been appointed as Judge for the 2023 show. Paul is well acknowledged within art circles as a judge and artist. He has many notable accomplishments and held distinguished portfolios with VAS and TMPS. He has worked as a professional artist all his life.
  • Our featured Artists this year are very well recognised and respected in their fields. We are pleased to present Ev Hales and Rob Knight. We look forward to their art presentations this year. The lives of our artists are varied and inspiring.  This year we hope to provide interviews with four Artists who wish to share the encounters they have experienced throughout their journey. Also, further community engagement will be tutorials for those wishing to learn a few secrets of transposition….
  • We wish every success to the Nillumbik Artists Open Studios this week and next.  An enormous amount of work goes into presenting only the finest of works from the local artists. Years of toil and experimenting with many mediums and structures are accumulated and exhibited during these times. Do drop in and say hello.  Well done NAOS, we look forward to seeing you in September.
  • Putting our best face on show is our website.  The new site has been revamped by Evelyne of eMatti.com.au. We truly appreciate the amount of time and dedication she has put into transforming our presentation. A very competent professional lady. As we move closer to the time there will be important announcements regarding times, happenings, key dates, Terms & Conditions, etc. Watch this space…..  elthamartshow.org.au
